Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Commitment
At SoilSum (accessible via soilsum.com), one of our core tenets is that utility calculators should respect user privacy. We do not require accounts, logins, or personal identifying information to use our mulch calculators, fertilizer calculators, or spacing tools.
2. Client-Side Calculation Processing
All measurements, dimensions, prices, and calculations you input into our tools are processed entirely locally within your web browser using modern JavaScript. Your dimensional data (bed length, width, depth, bag prices) is never transmitted to, collected by, or stored on our servers.
3. Web Analytics & Server Logs
Like most standard web services, our web server may log standard anonymous technical data such as browser type, operating system, referring URL, time of visit, and pages viewed. This data is strictly aggregated and used for operational server health monitoring, security audits, and diagnosing technical issues.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use invasive profiling cookies. Any minimal local storage used on SoilSum serves solely to remember your UI preferences (such as your chosen unit system: US Customary vs. Metric SI) during your active browser session.
5. Third-Party Links & Services
Our website may occasionally provide reference links to third-party horticultural research or cooperative extension articles. We do not control or endorse the privacy practices of external websites.
6. Contacting Us About Privacy
